Message Yes, you can use a silicone for the inlet. But inreference to the long back one. A straight works fine, but a straight that long could bend/collapse. Not likely, jsut saying. The silicone section wouldn't be as stiff as the oem hose. I think they say 3" is about the max you want to go with a straight hose that large. So I recommend going the route Greddy does. Use 2 hose parts with a joiner in the middle. Makes it more rigid in the middle. Something like this:

Stainless Steel Joiner.
